First off, who am I? The most important thing I think anyone needs to know about me is that I am in love with the God-Man, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I have been His disciple since 2013. He has blessed me with my amazing wife of 10 years, Desiree, and our three beautiful children, Joshua, Aiden, and Adelina.

I began “formal” ministry work when a fellow disciple named Bryant Borges, founder of the Face of Jesus ministry, trusted me to teach a men’s group at Manna Church Fayetteville back in 2016. Fast forward to last year when my family and I teamed up with the Woods family to plant an expression of Manna Church here in the San Antonio, TX area. If you happen to be near, come on through!

But enough about me! Let’s talk about the #GoodandFaithful Movement and the show. Why this show?

Well, in answering that question, I’d look to point you to Matthew’s Gospel. In Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus gives His disciples a parable regarding His future return. He compares it to a man who went a long journey and entrusted his wealth to three of his servants. When the man returns from his journey, he goes to settle accounts with the servants.

Although there were three servants, there were really only two types of servants, at least according to the master. There was the Good and Faithful one, or the wicked and slothful one. My question is, which kind of servant does our Master deserve?

Obviously, we believe Jesus is worthy of having Good and Faithful servants. And that’s why this movement and that’s why the show. Because we aim to inspire, educate, and train you in the day-to-day living that will help you walk as one of the Good and Faithful. If you’re into that kind of thing.
But what makes this show different than any others?

To answer that question, I point us to Luke’s Gospel where Jesus gives us the parable of the dishonest manager. I’ll let you go and read it, but He concludes His parable by making an important remark: “The sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light” (Luke 16:8b ESV)

The passage goes on, and we unpack it further on the show, but it’s enough to say this for now. It is absolutely obvious that the people of this world often function with more shrewdness than do the children of light.

The Church is constantly being outdone by the people of this world. They influence our politics, our culture, our economy, our education. Regular people sacrificing everything on the altar of success, and for what? Meanwhile, we as the children of light make serving Jesus so complicated! We’re so busy having theological discussions about pre-destination, God’s sovereignty, the “Great Commission,” and on and on, that we aren’t actually serving Him! No mas!

The #GoodandFaithful Movement is a movement of God’s people, wherever they are, leveraging ALL that God has given us to bless the nations and advance His Kingdom. All, meaning everything .Whether you’re a big-time businessperson or a stay-at-home parent, college educated or high school dropout. No more paralysis by analysis by God’s people. We will not burry what our Master has given us. From this day forward, we will live daily, as if everything we have is a resource that God has given us to bless the nations and advance His Kingdom! And The Good and Faithful Show is going to help us do just that. How? By providing a platform where we inspire, educate, and train you to leverage all that God has given you to bless the nations, and advance His Kingdom!

This first season is all about laying the foundation for future seasons. No level of success supersedes the need to actually walk with Jesus. So, here’s what to look forward to!

Episode 2: Abide – Jesus told us, “I am the Vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5 ESV). There is nothing more practical in the life of a Good and Faithful servant than abiding in Jesus. If we are going to be #GoodandFaithful, we must start by learning how to abide.

Episode 3: Prayer – How to live a life of prayer. We define prayer in its various forms, and how we as disciples can learn to pray without ceasing.

Episode 4: Scripture – We explain the various facets of Scripture reading. Reading to know vs reading to understand vs reading for direction. All three important and we will discuss why and how. There are no heaven points for reading the Scripture, but we are much less effective when we don’t.

Episode 5: Fellowship – As a family of believers and as members of the #GoodandFaithful movement, Christ-centered fellowship is non-negotiable. But how do we avoid turning our community into gossipy cliques and judgement circles? We discuss that and more.

Episode 6: Worship – We will close out season one with a fresh reminder that our God in Heaven is looking for people to worship Him. The Good and Faithful servant is not diligent for the sake of diligence. He/she is diligent because his/her life is a life of worship.

Future seasons will dive into how to steward the relationships, finances, health, education, professions, and everything else God has given us, well. Join us as we work to bless the nations and advance God’s Kingdom. Don't forget to subscribe to the podcast, join our FB group, and follow us on IG!
